TOYOTA SPENT THE MOST ON R&D OF ANY COMPANY IN THE WORLD IN 2008

Toyota spent the most on research and development (R&D) of any company in the world in 2008, according to the European Commission’s latest tally.

The Japanese carmaker increased its annual R&D spending by 7.6% to €7.6 billion (USD 10.6 Billion), knocking Microsoft off the top spot.
