Toyota Tanzania launches the New RAV4

The all-new 3rd Generation RAV4 has been restyled, re-engineered and re-sized. The new RAV4 will undoubtedly set a new benchmark and redefine the segment for small on-road and off-road SUV’s making it the ultimate and most advanced SUV in Africa.

Toyota Tanzania Ltd, the country’s leading automobile distributor, officially launched the 3rd Generation RAV4 at an exciting function at the Kilimanjaro Kempinski Hotel on Friday May 5th 2006.

 

Speaker at the launch, Hatim Karimjee, Chairman of Toyota Tanzania Ltd spoke about the history of the Karimjee family in the automobile business in Tanzania. The Karimjee family established the Motor business in 1927 in Zanzibar. They were appointed Toyota distributors in 1965 and since then have made substantial new investments in showrooms, modern service centers, parts warehouses, manpower training, customer relations systems and the new state of the art Body & Paint Centre at their Pugu Rd HQ.

 

He said that the company has an unparalleled network of 3 branches and 16 dealers throughout the country.
